People have been recommending this book to me for months. I was extremely busy with my grad school project last month that this is the only book I’ve read and it definitely made my month.
This book is about loss, trust, passion in writing, and love. It’s about January, a romance writer who just lost her father that left her a beach house. She moved to this house to write her next book that she badly needs to sell because she’s broke. Coincidentally, the man who lives next door is her college writing nemesis. They eventually become friends that quickly turns into something more because the undeniable sparks between them. They both go out of their comfort zone to write a totally different genre.
I love how they motivate each other in the book to meet their deadlines. I also enjoyed their research dates. The flaws in their personalities and lives made the book more realistic, and the steamy scenes were definitely on point. This is easily one of my favorite romcom reads.
